Mail Client Introduction

The Central Mail Client (CMC) is designed to provide mail handling functionalities for all Fast lane based applications.

CMC is designed to pre/post-process mails with help of cryptoserver for sign and encrypt/decrypt of emails.

It offers functionality to send, receive and handle secured mails from multiple accounts.

Architectural overview

As presented in the component diagram below, the Central Mail Client communicates with several external systems. The SecurityServer is used for encrypting, decrypting, signing and analizing emails. The Mail Input is a mail server from which the email client can fetch email and the Mail Output is a mail server that the CMC can use to send emails.

The Central Mail Client encapsulates common code used for sending and retrieving emails from email servers and also for encrypting/signing and decrypting the transmited information.
